Nothing brings people together like good food!

We are Sarah and Esrie, owners and managers of Salt & Sage. We opened the restaurant just before the Covid lockdown in 2020, and survived those years supplying high quality takeout meals to the local community. Since then, we have grown to the extent that we are now expanding into the adjoining building, and from November 2023 will have seating capacity for up to 70 people.
Sarah is the chef, a Durban native with 13 years of hard graft in leading Cape Town restaurants under her belt before embarking on her personal project. Esrie is an experienced bar and restaurant manager, and also an event planner. Together we offer an experience that is more than just a restaurant. In addition to gourmet food and reasonable prices, we have music nights, Food and Wine Pairings, Trivia Quiz Nights and we organise and cater outside events as well.
